I played this game while perusing science games for a Science Communication course-so while I'm certainly not the intended audience or an elementary teacher, I did think Morphy is very well suited to elementary aged students. The gameplay is simple enough to follow, (though as an infrequent gamer it took a moment to get the hang of the movement controls without being told them explicitly in the game's learning phase) and the character design and scenery is creative and draws you in as a viewer. I enjoyed seeing the little hints of unique species from different habitats across the globe.
The overarching metaphor of using animal adaptations as tools to "equip" as a character is fun! I think students would make the mental connection that real adaptations are similarly specialized for an organism's environment. Of course this metaphor is a stretch from reality, but the appropriate age-group would be able to follow the concept.
My only other challenges with the gameplay were that the difficult does seem to ramp up a little quickly. Again, I don't play many games though, so folks more used to the pacing of a typical side scrolling computer game may have a different experience.
