Zombies and genetics

November 11, 2018

I am a biochemist, making games to teach the invisible bits of cell biology.

I am still playing... I haven't learned exactly how to avoid zombies... and I think evolving my plants will be helpful... I am really enjoying the soundtrack and mucking around in this funny itty bitty world. I think this game has the potential to teach evolution/genetics at the because populations of plants and animals change over time and extinction is possible.

A lot of evolution simulation games struggle with having meaningful gameplay, but Vilmonic strikes one of the best balances I've seen. It uses a combination of crafting mechanics and sophisticated simulations to produce something truly unique.
